As an early Independence Day treat, I wandered up King Street to Cupcake and ohhh… the flavors! The window display alone is enough to make this fox drool. I had a hard time choosing just one, so I did the only thing I could and ordered a dozen. Strawberry, Red Velvet, Samoa, Death by Chocolate…YUM!

With 16 flavors and 50 toppings, Sly had a tough time deciding exactly what he wanted for his frozen yogurt sundae. A great way to beat the summer heat,Yogurt Mountain is one of three frozen yogurt shops located within blocks of the hotel. Yummy!

OLÉ! Sly explored his Spanish side with a trip to Barsa Tapas & Lounge onUpper King Street. This elegant wine and tapas bar is perfect for relaxing with friends and offers an extensive selection of Spanish wines and delicious paella that is dangerously good. With daily happy hour specials from 5pm – 7pm and live music every Sunday evening, Barsa is definitely worth checking out. In fact, my friends and I plan to go back for the Thursday night sangria special. See you there!

As a young fox, I arrived after being thought of by a group of visionary sales managers. I’m honored to be the mascot of the beautiful Francis Marion Hotel here in Charleston SC. As a fun, warm and fuzzy symbol of the original Swamp Fox, Brigadier General Francis Marion, who is famous for his “sly” guerrilla tactics against British troops during the American Revolution; you’ll see me out and about town this season.
I’m visiting some of the town’s exciting, edgy and local restaurants, pubs and attractions with my friends. There’s so much to see and do—most within walking distance from the Francis Marion’s front door. Follow in my paw prints and you’ll see why Charleston continues to be tops in the nation as a vacation or meeting destination.
