This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston. The house provides a temporary home for the families of seriously ill children while the child is at a nearby hospital. Staying at the house helps relieve families of hotel and traveling expenses during these hard times.
For the anniversary year, they have been recruiting local celebrities including: Mayor Joe Riley, Bill Walsh, Darius Rucker, Tony the Peanut Man, and Brett Gardner to pose in the big, red shoes and help the community get involved with the house. You can see these billboards all around town. The Francis Marion Hotel is very excited to have their gala in December in our beautiful Carolina Ballroom overlooking Marion Square.
