Being cooped up with family throughout the holidays, I couldn’t wait to start exploring again .  My first 2013 venture out was at The Alley.  Imagine 8 lanes for bowling and tons of TV’s with two 160” projection screens in the restaurant space.  Bring a large crowd of friends with you and have a “ball.”   Home Team Kitchen prepares the food, and the green chili nachos with braised pork lives up to the famous reputation they have gained around Charleston.  But, my favorite is the vintage video games, skee ball and pinball machines.

It’s hard to believe downtown Charleston was able to survive without a bowling alley for the last few decades.  I can’t wait to plan my next birthday party there.   With the large restaurant seating area and pavilion located   upstairs, they can hold up to 400 people (or foxes).  Let ‘em roll…
